Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional Scholarships FAQs

Who?

Our Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional scholarships are reserved to residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura and Kern counties only.

Applications are judged holistically and not solely on the basis of financial need, and they are awarded at PaCE management discretion, and are limited by funds availability.

These programs are NOT eligible for Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional Scholarships:

  • CPA Licensure Prep Summer Program
  • Blockchain Academy
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Environmental and Climate Advocacy (ECALA)
  • Intersectional Justice Facilitator (IJF)
  • Quickstart Affiliated Programs
  • Strategic Investments - Please contact courtney@econ.ucsb.edu with the UCSB Department of Economics for more information on their scholarships.

When?

Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional Scholarships are available every quarter including Summer.

Fall 2023 Quarter Scholarships 

Deadline to apply: September 8, 2023

Response by: September 18, 2023

Only the selected Awardees will be notified. If you do not receive a notification, you were not selected.

Winter 2024 Quarter Scholarships

I have already paid for my course, can I get a scholarship now?

No. 

How much?

Scholarships will cover 100% of the course cost up to $700. Textbooks and other miscellaneous fees are not covered. They are payable by the student.

How do I apply for this Scholarship?

To apply please fill out this form. Only the selected Awardees will be notified.

My course/program has other forms of scholarship available. Can I apply for Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional Scholarships as well?

Scholarships are not cumulative. Only one type of scholarship can be used at a time.

 

We may change any of these terms as needed.
