Degree Credit at UCSB - UCSB Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) does not grant degrees, nor are degrees awarded through the Open University Program. Note: Petitions must be filed with the following UCSB colleges and schools prior to enrollment in Open University courses:
- College of Creative Studies
- College of Engineering
- College of Letters & Science

Degree Credit at Another University - If you are seeking a degree at another university, you are urged to verify acceptability of the credit through consultation with your own university academic program advisor prior to enrollment through UCSB Professional and Continuing Education.
Admission to the University of California - Participating in the Open University Program does not provide preference in admission to the University of California. If you are interested in applying to the University of California you should refer to the UC Admissions website or the admissions office of the UC campus you wish to attend for details about the admissions process.
