Certificate Eligibility and Requirements - Strategic Investments

A certificate is awarded upon completion of the 2 prerequisite courses and 8 required courses totaling 12 units (or 108 hours of instruction), listed in the Program Schedule each with a letter grade of ā€œCā€ / "Pass" or better. All requirements must be completed within five (5) years after the student enrolls in his/her first course. Students not pursuing a certificate are welcome to take as many individual courses as they wish.

In order to participate in this program, students must first complete the following (or equivalent) courses ECON 1 - Microeconomics and ECON 2 - Macroeconomics with a letter grade of C (or "Pass") or better. 

Students may substitute credit for ECON X499.1 with proof of completion of ECON 134A - Financial Management with a C grade or better.

To be admitted to the program , students must first complete the Strategic Investments Application. Applications will be processed within 2 business days with a decision being sent via email no later than the 3rd business day. 

 

Note to students that started the program and completed a course during or before Spring 2022 Term:

You are not required to complete ECON X499.5, your requirements to complete the certificate are unchanged (ECON X499.1/2/3/4, and three total elective units.) If you wish to complete ECON X499.5, the 2 units will count toward your 3 unit elective requirement.  You must contact PaCE Support once you have completed the class to request the substitution.    

 

Request for Certificate Release

Application Fee $45.00

If all the Certificate requirements have been met, after your request is processed, you will receive an email notification from Parchment with a digital copy of your Certificate. A printed copy will be mailed via regular US Postal Service to the mailing address provided in your PaCE Student Profile 8-10 business days after receipt of the digital copy.

The $45 Certificate Release Fee is non-refundable. This Fee is required in order to receive a copy of your Certificate.
